Barbara, just so you know, on the top menu is a Publish button. You can enter your FTP info there and then upload your site (it's not just for SDrive). It's so much easier, because VSD knows which files it needs and how it likes to organise them.

Glad everything's working now. Maybe you can relax and enjoy the holidays! :D

Hi all!

I'm having a similar issue. I just got the superpack a couple of days ago for Win7 Ultimate. I did the XP compatibilty mode and everything. The Visual Site Desigenr will not load Photo Gallery, Form Builder, Juke Box, Video Player, or Sitemapper on the left toolbar or main toolbar on my system or my fathers who also is running Win7 Home Premium. VSD keeps wanting me to download these programs. Can somebody please assist.

Since you are on a 64-bit system, you need to point these programs to the proper path. Go to Settings Menu > Configure left toolbar.

I am having a problem I have seen others mentioning. I want to put a PDF as a link on my website (www.ecohousesofvt.com). I put a line of text in and then I linked it to the pdf as a document under 'link properties.'

I read what some of you said about putting it into a folder in the Add Files dialogue box. I was able to put my file there but when I went to link the file with my text line it just didn't work. I put the Pdf in my website directory on my computer (from which I publish my site).

When I publish the site and click on the link I get a 404 error message.

What am I doing wrong?

Don't link to files inside your mywebsitename_website/files folder or download folder. Place the PDF just out side your mywebsitename_website folder in a dedicated folder and then browse to that when linking the text to the pdf.:) It won't work to preview it on your pc locally but will work after you publish on your live site.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I am having issues adding ANY file to my VSD. I added a flash menu and it put files there that it needed, however I tried to add image files and the "add folder" button and "add file" button are simply broken. OS is windows 7 professional. VSD and the "add files" works fine on my Windows 7 professional laptop but not my Windows 7 Pro desktop. I was frustrated and clicked the broken "add folder" and "add file" buttons repeatedly and VSD crashed as not responding. I tried running it in XP SP2 and XP SP3 mode as administrator and this doesn't help. Is there a flaw in VSD v7 that me and others are having when we try to manually add files via EDIT>ADD FILE ???

Thanks for any help you guys might have. I am going to try restarting my computer now and see if it helps. If I don't reply telling you it worked, simply assume it didn't.

The reason you cannot see the entire interface may be that you are using Large Custom DPI settings. You will need to change this to Normal DPI for the program to work. Here's how:

For Windows XP
Go to your Desktop, right-click it, and select Properties. Next, click the Settings tab and press the Advanced button. You will now see a DPI setting. If it is set to Large/120 DPI, set it to Normal/96.

For Windows Vista
Go to your Desktop, right-click it, and select Personalize. Select Adjust Font Size (DPI), located in the upper left-hand corner of the window. This will display the DPI setting. If it is set to Large/120 DPI, set it to Normal/96 DPI.

For Windows 7
Go to your Desktop, right-click it, and select Personalize. Select Display, located in the lower left-hand corner of the window. Then select Set Custom Text Size (DPI). This displays the DPI setting. If it is set to Large/120 DPI (125%), set it to Normal/96 DPI (100%).

Additionally, some Windows 7 themes change the default fonts to a nonstandard one, causing the issue described here. Change your theme back to the standard Windows 7 theme and see if that helps.
