Is there no provision for using subfolders in VSD? I find no menu/button/form that allows that specification, nor do I find anything in the Help file.

Surely VSD doesn't restrict me to a flat set of files? I am far too anal to just throw all my pages in one big vat,

There are no settings for something like that. That is what makes using VSD so easy as you don't have to worry about those things. The software does it all. No muss, no fuss so to speak. ;)

If you need more control like that, our HTML Editor maybe a better fit for you.

There is a provision for using sub-folders. It's under "Edit" "Add Files". It's not tied directly to the html pages that VSD generates but you can have sub-folders and place content in them. I don't think you should worry about it as Scott stated until there's a true necessity for them and you fully familiar with the app.:)

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that might be true. Another possibility would be to use VSD to create separate sites in subfolders, then stitch it all together with HTML editor. I currently have about 10 separate sites that exist as subfolders from my main site (www.puckettpublishing.com), and then i tell GoDaddy, where I created the domains (other than the top-level domain), to forward to my subfolder/index.html

I'm in the process of moving all these to HostGator, and simultaneously ditching Expression Web as editor. Hence my experimentation with VSD and HTML Editor.

Eric,
That's what I was looking for. I was confusing toolbar button Add Page with this. I would rather have seen a folder option on the Add Page dialog, but I guess I can create subfolder stuff independently, then Add Files to bring it.

Once you get familiar with VSD there's all kind of back doors you can open. The HTML editor will make this easy with the built in projects setup. Just remember you should get to know the app before you do anything like this because If you ask for help because some file isn't getting published it's going to be hard to help when your breaking the back window and crawling in instead of using the front door that was left unlocked and fully open.
