I'm new at using Visual Site Designer. I've been okay with most of the things I've done with it (I really like the software so far). I'm trying to create a mouseover object. I have a small thumbnail image that is black and white and I want the mouseover to be the exact same image, only color. Can I get a step by step instruction? I really appreciate your help.

Follow-up question (I only heard of your software today and haven't downloaded the trial yet): If I don't create the initial shape (my buttons would be rectangles) exactly the right size and shape to match the images I want to use, will it re-size the drawn box to match the image size, or will it resize the image to match the box I drew--or neither?

Thanks!

Can you clarify your question?

I have images that are used as buttons and have full control over the size.

Visit millsapmedia.net or voiceimaging.millsapmedia.net and go to the contact link. Here, I've use images on my buttons but the buttons are actually images themselves created with different software.

Let me know if I can help further and I'll do what I can.

Michael,

Thanks for the response. I've now had time to play with VSD some and created some mouseovers to test things out. Based on the process as I understand it, I create a "shape" of arbitrary size and configuration and then "fill" it with the image I wish to use for the button. The image is re-sized to fit the shape I create.

What I want to be able to do is insure I create the shape to be the same size/aspect ratio of the button graphic, so the image is not resized at all when it is filled in. Is there a way to enforce this? I want the buttons to be exactly the size and aspect ratio of the graphics I've already created.

Thanks!
Mark

Hi, Spinny if your image is 36x36 then you you can make a shape the exact same size by using the "Object" tab by the "link" tab to make the shape the same size. is this your inquiring about.

Ah; I feel dumb. I didn't notice that set of dialog boxes when I was playing with the software. That's exactly what I wanted. Thank you!
