Can someone please help me understand how to use the images in the new 1900 Icon Pack which are all .PNG files?

Specifically, how do you get the palette or areas around the actual image to be transparent or match the background of the page you are putting onto while preserving any shadow effects?

For instance, in \plano\orange folder all the icons have a shadow effect and so may have all of its sorrounding areas appear black once I import the icon into VSD. How do I get the image to look right AND PRESERVE the shadow of the icon? Once I import into VSD, the srrounding areas look almost like my avitar.:/

Thanks for any guidance.

Moderator, please delete this post. I figured it out.... only needed to render the pages to see the true view of the PNG object. :D silly me.

My question is much more basic (as is my knowledge). For some reason I expected .gif or .jpg files. I have no clue how to work with png files. Is that all that is available in this package?

If I understand you correctly, using those png's from plano or any other transparent gif, png, they will usually show in black just looking at your project but is tranparent when you preview, and the shadow shows as well.
