Personally I have used many editors over the years and I find VSD so easy. May not have the ability of a fully fledged editor "Notepad" but ease wins every time. It's just that I'm doing some things using the Wordpress thing and Hostgator, that VSD just doesn't seem capable of. I love how simple and easy VSD is, but some things it just cant do.

As far as static and dynamic, I don't even know what that means yet, but I am interested in redesigning it without the tables.

A site can contain many parts created in many ways. VSD can link to other parts of the site and those parts can link back. For instance I have a blog totally seperate from my VSD part and I link to it. I did the same with a classified system on another site I had for a while. Each totally seperate but linked. The sitemap may need tweaking a bit.
A site needs spring cleaning like your house. It needs dressing up and given a new look. like a new paint job. Colour schemes change year by year. Same as fashion you have to beat or match the competition.
A visitor only sees the page that is before them not the code that supports it.

Your correct Prism and there's plenty of ways to accomplish this in VSD. Some of the ways aren't what some people call SEO friendly but if you can get visitors to your page I think the ultimate goal is to get them to come back or at least stay for a while.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
