I'm using Coffeecup to design a simple website for a family friend. I want her to be happy with the layout of the site before I publish it. Is there any way I can simply save it as a file that I can email to her so she can view it without having Coffeecup herself? Thanks.

One way would be to take a 'screenshot' or 'snippet' depending on which version of Win you have. Then you could send it over. Win 7 is snippet, which is available under the 'Start' menu, if not on top it's in the 'Accessories' folder of 'All Programs'.

If you use Firefox...and why wouldn't you be :D ....you can get an add on called Fireshot which enables you to take a screenshot of part or all of your browser page and save it in various image types.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

You could also do Print Screen PRTSCN usually somewhere on your keyboard...top left often and that puts a screenshot onto your clipboard. Then just paste into an image program like Paint and you can crop and save to various image formats.

Hmmm thanks for reminding me of that one tassie. I'd forgotten that I'd seen that one once before, and don't currently have it installed. Here I go again.

I recommend MioToolbox, a good free program that does screen-shots, has rulers and other very useful tools.

http://www.mioplanet.com/products/miotoolbox/

I use screen shots from it to help document my site structure/features, and find the other tools to be handy often when constructing pieces of pages for my site.

If you choose "print screen" if will only select/save what is visible on your desktop. If you use Fireshot, or the Firefox add I use called Screenshot Pimp (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12985), then you get the WHOLE page. Screenshot Pimp allows you to select JPG or PNG compression.

Occasionally if I have to send something like a large image to someone, instead of emailing it to them as an attachment and clogging up their email, I put it on my own site for a few weekss and email the link, they can access it at their liesure.
If you have your own site and spare space on the server, perhaps you could upload the necessary files into a folder and send them the link to the index file? They could "watch" when you make ongoing amendements to the test site.

Just a thought.
(My last "brilliant thought" was shot down in flames by more knowledgable people, so I hope one of them intervenes here if I got it wrong again :P )
