I thought I had vsd sorta figured out. But, recently I have added buttons linked to open a pdf and the button is not in the correct place when I publish the page. All is well on the software page. suggestions?

I apologize...I didn't read the "read this first post" first. Version 7.0 Build 24 Windows 7

Could you post a link to the site?
Also, how did you make your buttons? Shapes in VSD, Buttonizer, button images from an outside source?
Do your buttons touch/overlap any text or other images?
Being able to see the site and code would be a help. :)

I am in the process of creating a new site with a theme we purchased from cc. I realize there are 'visual' issues with our site, however, it has been functioning just fine up until recently.

I would also update to the latest version of VSD. Build 26.
I would also find some transparent .png pics for facebook/blog as there is 'white' showing at the edges of your .jpg's. There are a lot of free icons on the net.

The pics across the top look nice, but I would make them all the same size. Would look even better :D

Thanks for the input...downloading the update as I type. I think I need to make the text boxes smaller with individual info. and the buttons outside of the text box. I guess I shouldn't be too picky...I'm happy the links work!
The site you are looking at is the old site. I am working on the Ecological theme site. I had a great start on it and then there was an error with cc and I lost all of the new info I had added. ugh!

Do I REALLY uninstall the old cc vsd to install the update? I'm scared...I don't want to lose all the current site or the one I am working on. Will it keep everything?

Hiya Julie,

If you're worried, make a copy of your projects to a different location for safe keeping. We haven't had anyone yelling that they lost all their projects so far though so you should be ok to upgrade it :)

Is it the existing site or the new site you have the button problem with? On the site linked to above, only the social buttons are wonky.
I am curious why all the main menu links have a "v" in front of them :)

If I save the projects to another location, I'm sure I won't need them - that is the way it works for me:/

I realize the social buttons are wonky but I was willing to live with them for now. The buttons I am referring to are the ones on the Events page (BSEE Registration, KOSC Registration) of the current site. There is so much space and bsee overlaps the event below. The Application button on the Scholarship page is also so far down the page.

BTW the little 'v' is from Wingdings. They are correct in IE but not so great in Firefox. Again, I'm willing to live with them for now. I have HIGH hopes for the new design theme template from cc!

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
