I created an opt in form with Aweber to put on VSD, I should be able to copy & paste the java script code into my page source on VSD. I am getting suggestions from Aweber, Host Monster, and Coffee Cup. Nothing is working here and it seems like everyone is passing the buck. Has anyone else had a problem with this. I need some help here thanks

Why not use the Coffee Cup Web Form Builder? The code for that is added via the html tool or flash tool box.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

This is what I wanted to know. Can I build my own opt in form with the CC web form builder rather than using one of Aweber templates? Then import it into VSD and copy & paste the code from Aweber? Then I should be able to upload everything to Host Monster?

Sorry Ed but you have lost me...

Yes you can build your own form in CC Web Form Builder and paste it into VSD using either the html or flash tool.

after that bit you have lost me ...sorry

Ed - if you create a form with the CC Form Builder, it creates its own code - you wouldn't add anything else into it. And it has all the files and code you need ready to pop into your flash placeholder on your web page so you have a working form in a matter of minutes. Plus, it comes with ready-made templates for a variety of forms, or you can create and save your own forms (drag and drop - easy).

How have you tried to insert the aweber form? Did you use the add flash tool? You'll probably need to add some files using the settings> add files tab as well. Maybe if you walk us through your process, someone can help you get it done. :)

hi paintbrush, Orlando Perez pointed me in the right direction in my "support room". I could have created the form in CC web form builder as you suggested and use their code with the flash tool. However I had already used the Aweber template and wanted to copy & paste their code. The mistake I was making was to try and enter the code into my page source (which does not work). He suggested to use the HTML tool on the side bar instead and then copy & paste the Aweber code into that. I did and my opt in form is up and working fine now. (I didn't have to add anything else) thanks Ed

Glad you got it up and running, Ed!
I've added "outside" things to VSD before and find the html or the flash tool makes it really easy.;)
