Probably not. However, you don't need to have a Facebook account to see the announcement, but it will help. 
This is how we handled the HTML Editor 2010SE beta program and it worked extremely well for us.

Is there a way on facebook we can get notified of any posts? I have a facebook account but never go there. I just looked and didnt see any notification of posts except via SMS
