Adding pages with .txt extensions? -...
Is there a way to create some pages in VSD with a .txt extension? I have a weather station that uploads .txt data files. My plan is to create .txt pages to make the data visible on the web, then embed the .txt page within a regular .html page.

I believe you would need to use a server side include or scripting.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
- or an iframe.

The text files go to my hosting server in files such as "textdata.txt". My problem is I don't know how to link my website to these. My address is: http://www.timothyblomquist.com
I need the file to be created as http://www.timothyblomquist.com/textdata.txt.
Once I have that data where I can pull it up on the web, I can then embed it into my VSD website using the html tool.
It's hard to explain when you don't know what you're doing, but I can show you an example of another person's website:
http://feelgoodranchweather.com/
Click on the links on that page such as Text Data, Climatological Report and Monthly Report. It pulls up a separate .txt webpage. That is fine for some to leave it like that, but for my needs, I would embed that .txt page into another page is VSD.

I figured it out. If you have a .txt file sitting on the host server, all you have to do to get it to show up as a web page is to type your web address and add a /textfilename.txt and it shows up. I feel like an idiot since this was so easy, yet I overlooked it.
The easy part is to now embed the .txt file into my website.

See Inger's post. It is the easiest method.

Never heard of an "iframe" before, yet I've seen them many times before. Did some looking on the web to see examples of iframes.
The more I do this website building activity, I find myself copying .html codes and saving them for when I need them for particular situations. Got a half page and adding all the time.
