Ive been using VSD for a while now through various versions and found it a dream as a not v techie myslef.
TBH I m fairly comfortable using VSD as is working from scratch, but now I would really like to improve my site and add some features which Ive been trying to get to grips with for some time. My problem is finding out how to easily integrate them on to my pages.

CSS is currently my main concern, I'd really like to be able to use drop down boxes for sub menus as a long line of boxes with links will soon become far to cumbersome for the slick new site I d like to create.

Can anyone help me using 'easy terms' what I need to do to add the necessary CSS Flash Menu's to my site? Im sure its easy but I just dont seem to be able to get my head around it. :(

HI Helen, I would first upgrade to the latest version of VSD.
Whether you want a CSS or a flash menu on your website is up to you. If you have the CC html editor there's a CSS menu generator built into it that works pretty good. CC also has a flash menu maker that works great. So tell us which one you would like to use and I bet we can help get you going in the right direction.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Keep in mind that Flash based items won't show up on some mobile phones and pads. If using the CSS menu maker in the HTML Editor is something you don't want to tackle (you'd have to have the Editor to begin with), you can find many CSS menu generators on line. Once you create your menu, copy the code the program gives you and use the HTML box in VSD to place it on your site.

A note about the HTML Editor - Even though I use VSD, I've found the Editor to be a great tool to help me expand VSD's functionality. I use it to make code snippets for scrolling boxes, anchor links, slide shows... All of which can be easily inserted into a VSD site.

Hi Eric

Ive just downloaded the upgrade, next time I upload my site it will be in the latest version. :)Tick
Mmm dont much like the idea that I may lose some functionality on mobiles so maybe CSS or flash should be on hold for a while. :(
Love the idea of working with the HTML Editor to increase functionality.:D

Thanks so much for you advice Eric and Paintbrush looks like I need to get to grips with the HTML Editor next then. :)

Paintbrush: I hope you dont mind, but I may be back to ask how to add bits n bobs I have the HTML Editor. Thanks for the tip.

Helen xx
