Adding a Blog to VSD Designed Web...

I tried to add a blog to my VSD designed website using Nucleus. It didn't work ... in fact it made my website inoperable ... had to delete everything and re-upload.

I'm guessing it was user error, but just wanted to make sure there wasn't some reason this won't work. Oh, and if anyone who has done this has any tips, that would be appreciated too. :)

P.S. I would use Flash Blogger but my understanding it is not as search engine friendly, and SEO is the sole reason for wanting to add a blog to my web site.

Thanks.

Jimmy Harmon,

If you do not want to use a flash blogger, download WordPress, and create a folder on your site named blog, wordpress, or whatever you want to call your blog.

WordPress has a 5 minute install that works great.

Then in your VSD site, just create a link to your blog folder.

Bill,

Thanks! I went to godaddy (my host) and added Wordpress from there. Up and running already.

Jimmy,

GoDaddy likely does like all the other hosting companies. They have a set package that they setup with a limited number of themes.

I started with such a package, and realized how limited I was. I exported my blog and built my own using the WordPress 5 minute install.

Now, I need to start using it. :D
