Hey guy's, i'm trying to see if I can receive some support for Animation Studio, I have some video files i'm trying to convert and they show up in the preview screen, go through the whole process and then give me an error violation of x0000030, i'm not sure if it's a codec or something else. How would you troubleshoot this problem please? I would really like to use this software! Thanks guys! - Matt.:D

Heya Eric, yeah I opened one and they told me it has to do with codec's. I'm not sure how to edit the codec's in windows 8 64 bit, but I wanted to see if there was a program available that worked with Windows 8 that would show my codec's, I was going to go through them and delete the ones that I thought were conflicting with my software. :/

How many frames are you selecting? Have you tried selecting a smaller amount of frames to see if that helps? How about a different region of the video? Maybe something from just the beginning or maybe the end or part of the middle?

I'm getting the same error .. when trying to make any animated gif from several AVI files. I tried selecting the whole video, and just 3 frames. Same one.
First error:

Then it allows me to hit "Finish" and it gives me this:

Should I open a support case too?

Hello,
I recently updated to version 2.2 build 166. Now I have the same problem. "Access violation to CAS.exe", with the above failure code, and then the "premature end of data".

Windows 7 (64) here.

Edit: After trying with a nicely compressed AVI (tool: WINFF) and getting this, I took the original AVI with uncompressed pictures. Both clips could not be converted into a GIF, both gave the same failures shown above.

I had successfully converted AVIs with Animation Studio before, so I suppose there is something wrong with the update.

I'm not too sure what's going on but it has to do with codec's i'm sure of it. Me and Scott discussed this but there is so many codec's that are installed it's hard to tell. I'm using Windows 8 64-bit and just started using animation studio, after this error I added more frames to skip up to 10 and it's still giving me the same error. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this as there are many codec's detectors out there but it will not give a single one that is contributing to the error. I'm sure CoffeeCup has looked into this and is doing their best to fix it. I can wait :) I love this program.

The next update will also have some tweaks to the video conversion process as well and we hope it will fix some of these errors. If all goes well, this update will be ready within the next 7-10 days.
