Hi,

I am in my trial of Coffecup software. I'm trying the shopping cart and the shopping cart designer pro. I'm attaching 2 images so you guys can see how far I'm in the template customization.

As you can see Opera shows different than IE8. My question is can this be fix? So far I'm in love with the softwares but I need to know if this can be fix before I purchase the items, witch will be more that this two software if they are as fabulous as this two that I'm trying.

Also I added my own logo witch shows in IE but not in Opera. In Opera shows the logo that came with the template sample.

I didn't know exactly where to post this questions, but I thought it would be better here since I'm trying more that one software. I apologize if I'm wrong.

Thank you very much. Oh! is it there a page where I can see what you guys has created with Coffeecup? Thanks again.

Well, after almost 5 hours I decided to upload the website to my hosting provider and to my surprice the logo shows perfectly in Opera too.

I'm convinced this is the software for me. I just need to know if I can add other stuff to it like slide show a navigation bar at the left side and more. This it the link if you guys want to check it out and thanks anyway:

I am not sure on the slideshow inside the cart. You may be able to add something via the HTML part inside the pages though that might be possible since you can add form code, maybe slide show code will work too.

You can make your navigation bar on the side if you choose one of the premade themes that has it already, or the blank templates that you can then style how you want them graphically. You aren't able to add extra menus or actually alter the "contents" of the menu itself other than changing how it looks. Mainly that means you can't add extra buttons for pages that aren't in the shopping cart, and any extra pages you add in the shopping cart will show up as a drop down list rather than more buttons.

What many of us do is incorporate outside pages rather than inside pages so we have more control over the functionality of them. Although the pages inside the cart can do quite a bit, it's just nicer to have a menu you can do more with than just a drop down thing.

Other than that you can do quite a bit with the design of your site and theme. Good luck on it and feel free to ask any questions you may come across in your endeavors and I'm sure one or more of us will do our best to help ya out :)

Thank you for the rapid respond Wolverana. You have me in pain here with your funny smiley icon. :D

I am trying to copy and paste the code for the menu bar I created with Coffecup Flash Menu Builder, but I can't find where I'm suppose to do that. On the instruction said I need to upload the files to my folder in my hosting accound (I did it) and then copy and paste the code in all the pages I want the menu to show.
So, I guess I can't do this, right? Because I you said I can add anything to the shopping cart template. Then I shouldn't buy the Flash Menu Builder right? or how is it that you incorporate outside pages like you mentioned? Maybe I could use it like that. Do you have a website sample that I could see what you mean?

Thank you so much.

Hiya Vicky,

If you check my shop in my signature you'll see that the Home page of the site has a longer menu than the Shop Home page does. The reason for this is that I have externally created the pages for Home, Newsletter, Contact Us and About Us. Those 4 pages I created with Coffeecup HTML editor and just designed it to match the theme I created in Shopping Cart Designer for my shop. Thanks to all the great people here they helped me a lot in creating the theme as I am still a big learner when it comes to CSS and have a lot to go yet to learn.

The pages that the shop automatically creates are Shop Home, Categories and View Cart. You are able to have your Home page link to an outside page in the setup of your Cart instead of having one created inside the cart. If you go into the Your Shop settings (button at the top of the program) and go to the Pages tab of that window, you can set how you want your Home page to be at the bottom of that tab. If you set it to an external site which I set it directly to my domain name http://accessoriesoftheworld.com then you can create an HTML or VSD site page for your Home page and any other pages.

This is where your menu maker comes in so you can design a menu to match your shop menu and then insert that code into your external pages rather than the shop page.

Hope that helps :)

Thank you wolverana. I like what you did with your site.

Does the html editor is the software to create the front page or with the visual designer?

Did you use one of the files of the shopping cart theme to create it or did you begin from scratch?

Thanks.

BTW. Does the Egyptian Perfume Bottles are made by you? Does they come full of perfume from Egypt or are they empty bottles for people to use?

Hiya Vicky,

Thanks for your comments, most appreciated. The HTML editor is what I use for the external pages of my shop site. I started with the Jupiter style theme that came with either SCC or SCD can't remember which one and I altered the graphics to what I wanted it to be.

The bottles are empty bottles that are made by egyptian crafters that you can put your own perfumes or oils in. I will have oils and such at a later date that hopefully will be part of a nice setup for them also, but I thought they were so cute, and they truly are, that I had to get some lol.

Yes, they are cute. I'll show them to my friend. One of them has wished all her life to be an egyptian. Don't ask me why. She loved their history and else.

Thank you. I guess the html editor will be another software to add to the shopping list. :D
