Web pages are too wide - Page 2 -...

I have tried some changes but the right green border will not move over.

When I start a page from scratch it goes from 0-1250. I assume this is too wide for a page. Why doesn't it just set it for 760 or whatever will fitr into a notmal page.

I was running a high setting on my flat panelk monitor so I don't know if that made it look different to me or not.

I am a real rookie here and am getting frustrated that I can't get this to fit into a page right.

Hey,
Looks as if everything has fallen into place and the page looks really smart! You only have that image up top right which is missing - I see in the code that the page is still trying to get the image out of your working folder by the looks of things, so you may have to change the path in there...........
Great,
Janys ;D

Hi, if I may put my two cents in... I took a look at your code, and this may be your issue... The table is 760 pix...this code refers to a wider dimention for this image...

<a href="http://www.coffeecup.com/"><img src="http://www.coffeecup.com/promote/buttons/110x32b.gif" alt="CoffeeCup - HTML - Flash - FTP - Web Design Software" width="110" style="Z-INDEX: 106; LEFT: 861px; POSITION: absolute;
TOP: 793px" border="0" name="coffee cup" height="32"></a>

try resizing everything to the 760 table size...

P.S. Nice Site!

I figured out my problem.

I was using a monitor at 1280 by 1024. I was designing my pages to look good on that size not realizing that you should design them smaller like 1024 by 768. It should say somewhere to use your monitor at 1024 by 768 or something when you make pages.

I also went to tables so I could place things better within the page.

my new pages are at cedarstreetchurch.org
