Using the Jukebox software

I managed to get a playlist with player in my website. I have a couple of pages with players and different playlists. I made for each page a dedicated folder/map. So for Sonatas there is a special folder/map, for Preludes another and so on.

When I am ready using the Jukebox and all files are uploaded, HTML code copied and Flash added, I looked at the contents of the folders/maps and found out:

I made e.g. the folder SONATAS. In SONATAS all MP3 files are present, but:
in SONATAS there is another folder (not made by me), called also SONATAS and it has also all MP3 files. So I have 2x the MP3 files - for the SONATAS.

Why is that? Is it something I did wrong?

Could you have uploaded twice? Or perhaps you upload the mp3 files manually yourself? If you use the built-in upload feature of Jukebox, it will upload a folder that contains all the mp3 files alongside the xml/swf/html files. Having 2 sets isn't typical unless it were accidentally uploaded twice.

I've found some mistakes. One thing is very important. When you want to get rid of files, just go to Settings and remove those files. Not doing this keeps them in the .vnu file at the beginning. So even when you manually delete those files, they keep coming.

Concerning that Jukebox handling, I will have a look during the day, if I can get them only once.

Thank you for the reply,

Oh, I didn't realize you were using VSD. The manual removing of the files in Settings -> Remove Files is one of those "By the way" steps that may not necessarily be a mistake in design. :) Perhaps it could prompt asking whether or not you want to keep the files, but if they're shared or used in another page, that could be a problem. If you think up of a good solution, we're always encouraged to submit ideas to the "Suggestions for Software" sections. ;)

Now I managed to have only one set of Mp3-files, using Jukebox with VSD.
Steps:

1. show the page where the playlist and player show in the HTML-box;
2. start Jukebox;
3. choose a player - I chose the Red Radio and NOT start playing;
4. add the files;
5. upload the files and don't forget to copy to clipboard FIRST and then upload those xml and other files (left box in the JukeBox) into a unique-named new file;
6. close the jukebox;
7. edit the HTML-box;
8. copy the clipboard into that larger area and name (if you wish) the HTML-object;
9. test the page in question.

I did this but only on one page I had to do in HTML-editing "Add Flash" because during testing there was one white-coloured square and no player in it. After "Add Flash" the player showed. Also, I once forgot to uncheck "start playing" and whatever I do, this page persists playing automatically.

I even checked the differences in XML between a "working-good" page and that wrong page. They are both the same, that line "playing on start-up" both have "f". But still, one is just ignoring this setting.
