This means the browser can not find the image files where it is told to look, in your case in the directory "/files". I saw this a little while ago when I looked at your site, but now I can no longer access the site. I assume you are in the process of making some changes...?
Anyway, when you are ready to proceed, make sure the directory "/files" exists and that it contains all your image files.
I also noticed that your image file names contain both upper- and lower-case characters, as well as blank spaces. Remember that the file names are case-sensitive!
You will make things much easier for yourself if you: (1) use only lower-case characters and (2) replace blanks with underscores (_) or dashes (-).
Don't feel bad about this! Very recently, I started out making my own site and had problems with quite similar things. This is why I have it in fresh memory and feel "qualified" to respond to your post! ;)

Well, I must have been slow in responding, since I see now that you seem to have solved the image problems! :)

Simon, did you end up needing to rename your files before your links worked? I'm working on something similar. All of my files are in the files folder now, but the links still don't work, but I'm doing something a little different: transparent PNG (links) over text or jpgs.

I am having similar problems to simon - I have created a multi-page site and I am loading 1 page at a time. I found that when I sync or load, files are not loaded the same every time, ie I will have everything up & correct and when I add the next component files that were previously loaded are no longer there.

Any suggestions?

Hiya Jennifer & Sam,

@Jennifer, sorry I'm unable to really help you much as you're using VSD and I'm just not familiar enough with the program, and I'm not quite sure what it is you are trying to accomplish with the PNG links. Sorry hon, I know you've been trying for a while to get assistance on this and I just don't know what to tell you :/

@sam, I guess the first thing we need to know is which program you are using for your site building, and how you are uploading your pages. Also what exactly are you referring to when you say "component" files? Do you mean your HTML pages or are you adding some other components to your site?
From what I'm reading it sounds like you're overwriting your files so maybe you're using the same exact name as a previous file and you just need to give your new "component" files a slightly different name so it doesn't do that. But I'm not able to see exactly what you're doing so fill us in on the details as much as you can so we can be of more assistance. :)

Hi Jo Ann - I am using all Coffeecup software. The "disappearing" files are not being touched - for example my background suddenly disappeared on all my pages. If I change something on a file, this means I should not save it as the original file , but create a new file with a different name - is this correct.

My website is www.samuelk.com I will re-load the site so you can share the pain with me.

Hi Sam,

I can see that now some of your pages and images are loaded. You are asking about the link to the "home page". The actual "home page" on a website with be called "index.html" and not "homepage.html", which is where your "home" button is trying to send me. When I am on your website, on the "products" section, and I click the "home" button, it is taking me to a page that does not exist. It needs to send the user to "index.html", and not "homepage.html".
Changing that link to the right page will help. There is a good chance that other button links are pointing to the wrong web pages, or pages that do not exist.
Double check your links to make sure they are pointing to an existing page, and that will help.

Hi, May I also add and may not make a difference, but the way VSD is structured, you don't need to add the ( http:// ) into the links, just the page name with extension .html ( contactus.html as example)
