I am looking for information on programs that create and can easily update web slideshows that are often used by news/sports sites to show various stories. For example..

I would like to try create something similar with a concept like that where I have rotating images under a caption with links to various pages.

Any ideas, suggestions?

Good question. I never thought of what creates those. I ran across this one called Top Story Rotator, which seemed perfect, but it's an add-on (component) used for Flash CS3.
