Text not lining up

Hello all.

I spent 30 minutes searching this forum figuring there MUST already be a thread about this topic, but I couldn't find anything.

Since I can't wrap text I have to make multiple text boxes on a page in order to make them work with the images on the site. In addition to taking ten times as long as text wrap would, what I find is that there is virtually no way to make the text line up in all browsers. I can get it looking perfect on MY computer, but when I open the site on another computer (especially on a mac) the text overlaps wherever an old text box ends and a new text box begins, (and even leaks out of the background I created for it in others).

The two worst pages are:

and

http://www.disneysubmarines.com/disneyl … ories.html

I looked at your site in the "Break Room" and thought you had the text problem figured out - it looked fine in IE8, FF and Chrome on my laptop (PC with Vista). Checked it out on my netbook (Linux-Ubuntu) and it's messed up, just like your screenshots. I think Janys was right about the font (Candara) being an issue - I have Candara on my laptop, since it's a Vista font, but not on the netbook or my other PC (XP Pro). I can't imagine too many Macs would have Vista fonts on them. Maybe try one of these:

By the way, good work on the site-it looks good when the text is in place :)

The user "paintbrush" suggested a font solution, I was thinking the same thing so I just agreed with them :)

Thanks for your input guys! I changed ALL the text to Verdana. Looks perfect on MY computer in Firefox, IE, and Safari. Any chance you guys would have a look for me?

The site is: http://www.disneysubmarines.com/

These were the two main problem pages before:

http://www.disneysubmarines.com/disneyl … ories.html

and

Much better!

I haven't looked at it on my "real" computer, just my netbook. A lot of sites don't look quite right on here (FF on Linux-Ubuntu). So I still see some overlap, but I'm guessing it's only that way on this computer.

OK, Had a look on the PC (IE8 on Vista), everything's fine :)
