actually I was using absolute before and that made it float in IE but nothing else. but since no one knows how to make it work in browsers other than IE, I'll use fixed or something else. i just thought since the code was part of CC's html editor one of their folks would know how to fix it

Hi Folks,

Belive I am having the same problem as william. Have hunted through the software forums and this is the only related incident I can find.

The DHTML snippet was called slide menu DHTML from CC HTML editor 2007. It still works in IE7 & IE8 but has recently stopped working in Safari and never worked in Firefox 3.

It can be found at www.rolfkillius.com

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. As it is an existing website and the menu is on each page it is a bit late to change it ! :-)

Hi Nigel,

I'm not sure what you are looking for. You seem to have a simple list menu, do you want to change that?

If you still have the version 2007 of the HTML Editor you seem to be just a tad outdated. You can upgrade to the newest version, which is 2009, build 305. With it comes a CSS menu which resembles the old DHTML menu. You adapt it in a similar way, that is.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Hi Inger,

Thank you for your advice. Was hoping that there was a quick fix to get the list menu (code described below) sliding again in Safari and Firefox !

Will upgrade to CC Editor CC 2009 at the end of January when things are quieter and will see if there is a suitable CSS solution that can be done quickly.

All the best for 2010 ! :-)

Nigel,

If you are still not seeing the DHTML menu with Firefox, I suspect you need to update to the latest version of the DHTML menu. You can find it listed with the FREE stuff from CoffeeCup.
