Question about VSD

is VSD powerful enough to run an e-commerce site with a lot of traffic? I'm not talking about the actual shopping cart, I have another platform in place for that..but i'm using VSD as my foundation to build the site....Does it generate code efficiently? I'm just beginning to use it...

Thanks...

While I don't use VSD personally (no particular reason, other than I'm using HTML Editor for my schoolwork), I've seen some really AMAZING sites that were built with it. Just check a few of them out here :http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/the-break-room/so-whats-your-website/ you'll have to skim through the postings to find the VSD's but they are in there, including this one http://www.juliehufstetler.com/ which is a good representation among many others.

Thanks for your quick response Phil...

I like the WYSISYG editor in VSD, it's simple and straight forward...I do most of my own coding as far as JS functions are concerned...I'm just wondering if anyone has actually developed a full out commerce site in VSD and if they've had any problems? does the code it generate render effeciently or will I run into problems...

Much as I'd like to say that's so, I have to say that I don't use VSD Chad. My site was built with a combo of the Shopping Cart Creator and the HTML Editor for the extra pages, so unfortunately it's not an example of what he's asking about, sorry guys :(

Hi Mike,

I run three hosting sites that are pretty busy. I had a need to get one site up fast and VSD did the job or me. I have had no code issues to date and it views fine on most major browsers.

Marc, I'm viewing your site with FF, latest version, and that bag of $ at the bottom of the page is getting into the text. In IE it looks ok.

(And BTW if you don't mind me mentioning it: I would correct the spelling of 'oppertunity' to 'opportunity'.)
Ha en riktig god dag!
