Hello,
I have tried EVERYTHING to get my images to display on the internet. They display in the previews, but nothing shows in Firefox and on IE, there is just an empty box with a red "x". I have uploaded all my images to my server with GoDaddy, in the same working folder as the page, and tried a number of other things. At a complete loss. Please help!!
Thanks,
Amanda

This is generally due to incorrect document root. Check the code and make sure the url is referencing the correct place on your server rather than your local computer where you are working
Amanda,
What program are you using to create your website?
Can you provide a link to the site? Frequently someone can look at your code and see what is causing the problem.
Did you upload using the built-in FTP, or did you use a stand-alone FTP program.

I am having the same issues with images. Not all of them, just some. They are all uploaded on the server and the url points to the file on the server.

etc.

I was having the same problem. Images were fine in the preview, but some were missing after uploading my site, even though they were listed in my host files... I checked the source code to see if the image files really were there, and in the right place. Found something curious. All the pictures that were missing had numbers instead of their original file names; for example... if I put "myphoto.jpg" on a page and uploaded my site, it would turn into "IMG_24.jpg". So I checked my VNU file folder to get the IMG_number.jpg (instead of the named files), and uploaded those through my hosting control panel - now the photos are there.
I hope that doesn't sound too confusing! And if anyone could explain where the numbered IMG files are coming from? -And why some images retain their original file names and others get replaced?
(using VSD 6.5 and auto upload)

Kitt,
I did not see anything that looked like a missing image. Maybe you could attach a screen shot of what it should look like?
I'm having this same problem. I have uploaded 3 times already and all the files are there.

I used the built-in ftp. The link to the site is :www.sddc.org
Help.
Help.
Well do you REALLY want to hear some funk?
If you type in http://ftp.sddc.org (or at least when I tried) you get the web-page with all photo's included served as a regular page??? Don't know what that's all about.
