Old website created with FrontPage -...
I created a web site a few years ago using MS FrontPage 2003; no style sheets, no CSS, no other special formatting tools, for the most part, each page is its own independent entity. The only special code I used was to include Javascript code from HiveLogic Enkoder to encrypt email addresses that appear throughout the website. I would like to bring the site up-to-date and use Coffee Cup (CC) products to do editing and revisions. Is there a way to import the current site into Visual Site Designer? Is some kind of conversion necessary? Or am I better off just starting fresh and designing a new site independent of the existing site? Any suggestions would be appreciated. (The site itself is for my high school alumni class -- if you want to look at it, go to clarkstown65.com. Thanks in advance for your responses.
You cannot import HTML pages into VSD.
You can however import your site into the HTML editor.
If you use VSD the only thing you can do is start from scratch.

Harry, you might want to give VSD a try - you can get a free trial version of any of CC's products.
When you see how easy it is to put together and update a site, not to mention all the features that can easily be added (forms, calendars, galleries...), you just might want to start with a fresh, new design anyway

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. (Douglas Adams)

I too would suggest a fresh start. You can always keep the basic look of it by duplicating it in VSD, but truly if it hasn't been using the newer code I would highly suggest you start a new one with the new technology or you'll be multiple versions behind as we are going into new versions of both the HTML and CSS code as we speak

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
