hey guys and gals, I am a huge fan of CC products and while I have enjoyed their flash based products and love their photo gallery software it is getting outdated with the influx of usage of tablets and phones. So, my question is, until CC creates/updates their photo gallery software to create in something other than flash does anyone have any suggestions for creating photo galleries?

Thanks

Yes, we have something already in the works. Very soon you will be able to make an HTML version of your gallery and publish it directly to S-Drive. Going to be very cool! :)

If CC has something in the works you know it's going to be worth the wait. How long that will be who knows but until then to ge away from flash you can use JQuery to accomplish a pretty good album. It's not as easy as the few mouse clicks that CC's photo Gallery provides but it will get you a non flash gallery until CC can work their magic. Take a look at the site in my sig as I have a few examples of JQuery there that are pretty simple.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Scott, thats great news!! I will be your first of many buyers. Hopefully the wait wont be too awful long.

Eric,

thanks for the suggestions and I am already familiar with your jquery slideshows. I have used them but I would still like a more "photo gallery" style with the ability to look at the pics at your own rate rather than a slideshow style. Ideally what I would really like is a photo gallery that is similar to what CC uses on their own site for Photo Galleries. I don't know enough code to be able to view their source code and see everything that I will need to know how to mimic what they have done.

I think their whole site is setup this way but if you go to their VSD software page - http://www.coffeecup.com/designer/ and then click on one of the images the gallery opens up like a pop up and you can click through the photos while the main page is "grayed" out in the background. I really like the look and function of that. If you or someone could break down the code for me I think I could incorporate it into my site, I just cant view the source code and distiguish everything code wise that goes into making that work.

That's Colorbox and I've had that broke down on my site for quite sometime.;)

Just now got around trying to add a colorbox to my site and when I click on the test link it opens up in a new tab like you are viewing the source of the image. I cant figure out what is causing this, I am sure its something simple its just too late at night for my mind to figure it out. the link to my test page is
