I tried to create a New Website Project on the Desktop. It does not appear in the Local Disk Tab and all I see are the folders and files on the Desktop. I did it just like in the help movie. This happens no matter where I try to create it. I can see a ProjectName.cpf file on the Desktop but it does me no good as far as I can tell. This looks like a bug.

How can I utilize the Project feature if I can not even create a project?

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling CoffeeCup HTML Editor but nothing changed.

That is no bug The .cpf is your project file. If you saved your project on the desktop, there are probably no files actually there. Instead, first make a folder where you want to store your Website and then make a project using that folder. Now you can add in your various HTML pages to your project or download them from your server.

Thanks, that works. But it is a bug. The New Website Project button does not work because it does not create the folder and the .cpf file must be manually moved into the folder if the folder is not created first.

Now I am off to try some more things.

It will not create a folder because you said to use the desktop, which is a folder. That is why you need to make the folder first and then store your project into that.

Also of note, if you tell it to create the folder it will do so inside whatever folder you specify for your location.

Example:

You want it on your desktop but you really shouldn't put it directly there so what you do when you create your project and it's asking where to put it you put

c:\.......desktop\nameofprojecthere

it will then create that folder for you
