How about trying to code the easiest one in old fashioned html.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I must be trying something weird here, 'cause no one else is jumping in here with any ideas - not even Bruzer! :lol: I did a Google search for different link colors on the same page - it's possible and the results didn't look too complicated (I always think that until I actually try it!).
I really appreciate all your input on this - Thank you for having a stab at it :D

I still don't have any ideas about the other problem (VSD page "jumping" to bottom when menu links for the scrolling div are clicked). So even if I get the link colors sorted I'll still have this to deal with.

Would an Iframe be a good idea for this? Do the menu and articles on a separate html page then isert it in the frame on the VSD page?

That's what I was thinking. Iframe should be a good choice just code your page with the CSS and reference that in the iframe.:)

Should the page have the whole Doctype header stuff, or just the menu/article divs?

I've been trying to get over my Iframe addiction, but this sounds like it might be the easiest way to get this done :D

Yup. Create your page with the menu css and make it as wide as the menu would be. Now reference that page in your Iframe.

Still messing with this...
I tried 2 iframes side by side. Looked great, worked fine...but only in Firefox. IE8 bumped the second iframe underneath the 1st one and Chrome wouldn't display the 2nd one at all (although the 1st one was OK :(

So I'm back to using divs. I made one big div to hold the menu div and info div. In the CC Editor preview it all looks good, but once loaded into VSD and viewed online, it loses the space between the 2 divs. A few other glitches -
1 - It still changes the link colors on the bottom navigation (they should be white instead of blue)
2 - I can't figure out how to make the menu text 'bold'
3 - Clicking the links affects the whole VSD page rather than just moving the subject to the top of the scrolling box.

Any suggestions or advice on how to make this work is welcome! :D

I've got a question, why is your unordered list under titled "Important Information and Resources", (it is encapsulated in a div class menu) encapsulated with <html></html> tags?

VSD doesn't produce the most readable code so it is a slow read. But that second <html> there has to be a better way.

Levi, thanks for having a look :) I tried just about every which way I could come up with to get this to work, that html tag got left there by mistake. I finally got 2 div's side by side in a container div and all was well until I put it in the VSD page. All the text already on that page was shifted way off to the left off of the page.
I tried 2 iframes side by side, but couldn't get them to stay that way in IE and Chrome (2nd would drop below the 1st).

Anyway... I just got it all working by putting everything into an iframe. I'm sure behind the scenes it looks like Frankenstein's monster :P, but it's working!!!
I do have one little issue with the way the whole page jumps when menu items are clicked, rather than the page remaining in place and just the scrolling div going to the title.
