Hi - Can anyone suggest a good web mockup/design application similar in purpose to Fireworks from Adobe ? I am spending too much time building the site just to get the composition right.
Preferably nice and cheap or even free ? If I have to go to fireworks I will.
thanks Vincej
Mockup Design Recommendations ?
I've seen this recommended before. It wasn't my thing, but some people love it. I'm not sure if it's still being updated.

I never use a software program to begin my designs. I use the oldest method available, pencil & paper.
I work out my design on graph paper. Then I name all the divs etc I will need along with their dimensions. Then I create a CSS file for all the divs, backgrounds etc.
I then create all the graphics I need based on the dimensions used in my CSS file.
Then and only then, do I actually open an HTML editor to put the page together.
