Links without the word being underlined

I have limited experience using an HTML editor, and I'm trying to create a vertical navigation bar down the left side. I tried using the DHTML menu builder, but I couldn't get that working (it didn't show up in the visual editor, and I couldn't attach pictures as part of the menu too). I'm creating a vertical block and I'll attach a link to each word. How do I get each of the words so they are not underlined when I attach a link to it? Thanks.

Make your links look like this.:)
<p><a href="http://coffeecup.com" style="text-decoration: none">CoffeeCup</a></p>
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.
