software: VSD current version as of this week
hosting company: value web
cpu: vista home standard

new to this and i hope i explain this well:

problem: i want to keep my current front page http://www.dozwm.net

using a seperate file with a seperate name, i also want to upload the site i am working on so that others can view it and give me feed back. similar to doing this with the web page name: http://www.dozwm.net/33.html

i've tried changing the front page/index page name to some wierd name, like, kumbayah, but, it still uploads the whole site and remove my 'under construction' page which i then have to go back and re-upload.

what do i do?

i have a feeling i should have built the site behind the under construction page, but didn't want anyone to try any funny business and see the newly designed page before it was ready for release.

if this has been anwsered before - post me the link to the thread and i'll go there and read. thank ya'll!!

Hi
there is a couple ways to do this.
1) make a folder and place it on your server and upload to that folder your test site.

2) in Visual Site Designer Go to your ftp settings, and in the www slot put a folder name there and then again upload, this will make a folder by that name and all files will go to it. all you do then is just place a link on the first page and link to the second page. I hope this explains what I'm trying to say.
