Is it possible to create a classified...
As a newbie to this site and the coffeecup programs and I am looking for help. Still trying to get my feet wet without drowning.
Could you offer some more details about how you envision this?

I may be stabbing in the dark. But the way I read it, you want to know if you can make a classified ads site with coffee cup. The answer is Yes and No.
All websites that allow the user to add their own content (I.e. classifieds, Facebook or forum) require the server that hosts the website to do its own processing. These sites are scripted and use languages like PHP or ASP.
Coffee cup html editor is just that an editior so you can code in whatever scripting language you like.
What you will need is on the hosting environment is PHP or ASP and also database access.
If this is too much like hard work, there are open source option available like Noahs Classifieds or of course, you could just get people to send you their ads and you could just code the site as a normal HTML site with you doing all the housekeeping manually.
I hope this helps
