I am having an issue with my images on my jquery slide show. I have tried resizing the last image, last button, it is of a deck on the back side of a house. In the slide show the house looks very tall, but it is not.
Here is the homepage with the slide show:
dtscarpentry.com
(click on the last button under the slideshow)

Here is a link to the original image:
dtscarpentry.com/jqueryslideshow/17_Deck_FinishA.jpg

Here, I have readjusted the image a few different ways, but it has no effect on how it loads in the slideshow:
dtscarpentry.com/jqueryslideshow/17_Deck_FinishB.jpg
dtscarpentry.com/jqueryslideshow/17_Deck_FinishC.jpg
dtscarpentry.com/jqueryslideshow/17_Deck_FinishD.jpg

I know I can readjust the slide show in the height, but I hate to make it small just for 1 or 2 photos. Any ideas?

Resize all of your images to be the same.

I resized all the pics, but not sure if it did much. Hard to tell as I think I am just being too picky. Eric, do you think it looks ok?
I just want these changes to be acceptable for now. I hope to launch a site with RSD in the next few months.Got a lot of learning to do :)

I just swapped a bunch of the pictures, and the third one is the one with the deck on it. It still looks slim/too tall. I also had to change the width and height in the code, not just the picture size. Any thoughts on maybe cropping the image another way? (I would remove it but the owner wants it there :( )

The original image now has the issue. Did you crop the image to the same ratio before you resized it?

Marc,

I have a client that likes to take her pictures in all different 'sizes' and it makes getting them all the same size for her site a real pain.

When you re-sized your pictures did you keep the aspect ratio the same? If you don't do that you can get a picture that doesn't look right.

But, then you may get a picture that isn't exactly the same size as the rest.

What are you using to re-size the images?

OK, I meant to say constrain proportions instead of aspect ratio.

I downloaded your original image. Is that the 'original' image that was taken or is that a re-sized image.

I'm off to 'make the donuts' so I will check in this afternoon.

This go around I did not use the constrain proportions, as it did not work last time. So, I have tried both ways, always going back to the original when doing so. I have used Microsoft Office Picture Manager, Paint and Photoshop. All have the same result. Lately it has just been picture Manager.

Sorry, I did an overwrite on the original by accident. Here it is, untouched:

If I do not use constrain proportions, then I never get all the images the same size. Also, I have tried cropping the images so that I can constrain proportions, but that did not work either. I assume it is re-sizing to the box, and an image that is not square will look this way, but maybe there is another option here? Like i said, I just need to buy a few months to get an RSD site up, and there will be a slight overhaul, so I am open to suggestions :D
