site is lakehavasupoledancer.com

Been using all the latest software to build the site since March. Nio problems with viewing it.

Now, IE5 crashes when loading any page from the site.

Another site I built with VSD doesn't crash.. just the one above.

I mostly browse with Opera.. and it show the site just fine.

IE8 stops trying to load the site with this error.
"Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website. It appears that the website continues to have a problem."

I am really trying to eliminate all the obvious questions.. so please let me know if anyone else has run into this problem

No problems with FF on Linux either. That IE5 is crashing is probably no surprise. I'll try IE8 when I get home this evening to my Windoze machine.

I'm home now and have just tried opening your site in IE8, and it did not crash! However, I also opened it in FF 3.5.3 and it crashes every time.

My PC is running Vista Home Premium.

If you are familiar with html, you could copy the page and try eliminating (comment out) various bits and pieces to see if you can discover which is the culprit that causes browsers to crash.

That's great news! We are confirming that we have a problem!

I took the coffecup photogallery slide show off of the home page.. I created a new file. and just made a homepage..

Once I eliminated the photogallery flash slide show.. the homepage popped up fine..

now.. the website has like around 84 pages of the photo gallery coffecup flash..

It kinda feels like you think there is something wrong with the car radio..but find out you gotta replace the whole motor..

JR,

Which version of the Photo Gallery are you using?

There was a problem caused by a change Adobe made, and if I recall, it was causing some browser crashes.

Make sure you have the latest version of Photo Gallery, and using it to open one of your photo galleries. Now save it and upload the swfobject.js file and see if that fixes things for that gallery. If so, upload the swfobject.js file to each of the photo galleries. If the galleries are all in the same location, the one change should fix everything.

Sorry BillR.. I have the latest version of everything, but my problems never have anything to do with latest versions..

One more thing I have noticed..

My menus.. are cutoff at the end. like.. only half of my contact button shows up.. other menues.. cutoff as well.

Now I know.. there have been others that had this problem before..

Video... 3/4 of the application shows up. example

Opera.. shows just fine. Firefox crashed on me a long time ago.. no matter how many times I redownload it..it never opens.. so I don't even know how FF views it.. probably crashes too

Although it's not my cup of tea for a place to visit on the web *coughs* it does work just fine in IE8 and FF for me if I go to that link, but... that's only from that link.

If you hit the home button it takes you to an entirely different page that is messed up as you mentioned. Your links aren't the same for this link above and your home page, not sure if that's intentional but the link you posted works fine for me in both browsers, just home doesn't take you to that page takes you to a different messed up page.

J R,

Check your DPI setting. I just looked at several pages, and on every page I checked the contact button was the same as the other buttons.

The two videos appeared to be all there. Again, it could have something to do with your DPI setting.

I did my viewing using Firefox 3.

I also checked using IE8, and the menu buttons are OK as well as the videos.

Thanks BillR.. If it comes to DPI settings.. I'd rather just scrap the whole site and start again. I don't like it when something stops working all of a sudden.

I've been looking into some other photo gallery software cause that seems to be crashing all of my pages that uses it

Wolverana.. can you describe this messed up page it goes to? I am very interested in knowing about this.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
