HTML or VDS

I am looking for some feedback.

Google’s new panda (ranking formula) hit my old (20+ page) website and I have lost a lot in ranking due to the fact it’s was made years ago with Frontpage which Google says that Frontpage has some security risk and now are penalizing.

It’s the push I needed to redo the webpage…I have been putting off redoing it for years (it’s works and is very popular and has high a Google rank up till now.)

I have been using Coffeecup HTML editor for years (mostly using themeforest.com templates) for my other websites. For this website redo I was thinking or trying the new VSD thinking that I could bang it out a lot faster than writing HTML code. I own VSD but have never used it.

Questions – how dose VSD look on different devices (Ipad’s or netbooks)?

What would you do use HTML or VDS?? And why….

Hiya Liza,

Part of that question actually depends on how up to date you want to work with the website. In other words, do you want to work with the new HTML5 and CSS3 or do you not want to use any of the new functionality from it? If you don't care, and you're looking to go speedy then VSD would be the way to go. But if you do care and plan to utilize the newer technologies created for website design then you definitely should go with the HTML Editor and plan to code your site instead. The reason for this is that VSD does not do HTML5 and isn't planned to be adding it in the future so it's pretty much set where it's at other than maybe adding new features to the program at some point.

I've seen some great sites using VSD, but as a coder myself, I also want to continue evolving with the web and use the new things available with HTML5 and CSS3.

There are a lot of great themes out in the internet that are free and that use the newer technologies of HTML5 and CSS3 so I guess that I would go with coding it. That's my opinion on it. Good luck whichever way you decide to go.

Go with VSD now. You can put a site up fast then redo it in the editor when you get time.:) Learning all the new html 5 and CSS3 is going to take a while and it's not fully supported yet. VSD will allow you to get what you need and still have time to learn HTML 5 and CSS3.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.
