I'm also having a hard time logging out. It simply won't.
Is it showing for everyone or just me? I also have other setting that are not 'taking' as well. Am I missing something obvious? *that wouldn't be out of the question mind you!* It's always the obvious that eludes me....

What is your real name? (don't say Kat, I would just die laughing, that would be so funny. God, its not Kat is it? Oh my word, have I stuck my big size 10 in the dog xxxx).
Anyway, I tried and tried and tried from the first day of joining this forum to go through the profile features as they show up and they are pretty self explainatory, but they don't work for me!
Am I missing something obvious yet again?
Clowns scare me as well.
Bye Joan - Mark
I thought this would be the better place because on most forums, that's usually the place to ask help for forum glitches.
Before I do send that email, may I ask a few questions to make sure I have all the info I need to relay to them?
Too bad, I'm asking anyway!
When replying in the REGULAR reply box, not the quick reply, is there a smiley window with smiley's to use in one's reply?
There's none for me.
In the REGULAR reply, not quick, I only have a box to reply in. No buttons, format buttons etc that is on every other forum I belong to.
When you go into your profile, is there a place to change your username?
There's none for me.
In the profile area, I cannot make an image signature, only words. The image tags won't turn on in that section, only here in the main body of a reply area in the forum. Right now, I'm manually entering it.
Is it available to you?
Is this what I'm supposed to be seeing to begin with?
Thanks for answering. I just need to know this so I can make the proper comparisons for my letter.
You can call me Twitchy too if it pleases you.
And what is it with clowns? They totally freak me out. I find nothing funny about a man in face paint and pajymas trying to abuse one another! Creepy.
Question 1 & 2 - All your format instructions are here, once you remember them, it soon becomes second nature. Or if you are like me, who has a brain with holes in, I don't use formatting. Here is the link anyway. http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/help.php
Qustion 3 - NO
Question 4 - My [img] tag: is off, so I can't use that for image signature. I presume yours is off as well. Ask CC when you contact them if they can turn it on for you.
There you go, all answered.
Keep well Twitchy
So... Anyone having the same problem, tomorrow you can fix your name!
The rest of the questions weren't answered. I guess that means it is as it should be.
Mark, I also posted to your reply this morning and it 'disappeared'. But, in answer, yeah, I know how to use bbcode and all that good stuff. Just figured that I may be missing something.
If you use that name and password, go on my forums and you can reply to something and see what I mean if you are not familiar with other forum type reply boxes.
Mine's a bit different though, it's a WYSIWYG editor but bbcode works just fine too.
Every other fourm I belong to has the smiley's on the side of the reply box and all you gotta do is click them to insert. There's a row of buttons on top of the reply box to add images, url's, tweak text and whatever else floats yer boat.
Man, Mark - we have more and more in common each time we chat here. My brain is like a sieve too! I'm always saying "DUH!" about myself and the obvious seems to elude me every chance it gets!
It is good that you will be able to change your name etc - I will take a look (Thursday Night For Me).
Anyhow - I am off to see if I can get a few hours sleep now. Boy I need it.
Everything is the same. Maybe the updating is taking longer than they expected. I'll keep trying. If it doesn't change by Monday, I'll email again.
Sometimes I feel like I'm chasing my tail.......
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
