Hi. I am testing this editor out before I buy it. I made a test page. My question is this. How do I edit something on a page? I opened the page back up in the editor but I get no flashing cursor in order to add or change things. I looked at tips and the help topic but I am lost. TY
Which Coffee Cup program are you using? The HTML editor, Visual Site Designer, etc?
CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2008
I have limited experience with the HTML editor, but each time I've used it the cursor appears anywhere I put it......make sure you are in the HTML view for editing the code.......other than that I wouldn't know.....
Thanks.
I did upload the test page to my domain hosting site so I do have a URL for the page. I open it up in IE and at the top where I see "Page" by the "address bar". I click on it and It says "Edit with Mircosoft Office Word" not "Edit with CoffeeCup". Now.... this is how I use to edit a page on my "other" computer which has "Mircosoft Frontpage" but on that computer it would say "Edit with Mircosoft frontpage."
EDIT:
The cursor is flashing in the "Code Editor" and does not flash in the "Preview"
I click on the "Visual Editor" and a pop up came up to save in "Working" folder. I did and then the ruler came up and then I have the flashing cursor. I type something in the page then saved as. Overwrote the page to my host ans it went find.
I guess there is a "Working Folder" in the editor. I have alot to learn.

I don't think you should have a blinking cursor in the preview.....any coffecup program that produces a preview does not let you modify anything while it is in preview mode....
As far as the edit with MS Word, I have no clue.....

I guess I am so use to editing while looking at a page as is. That is how MS Frontpage is. I like CC but just have to play around alot more with it. I am not use to typing in the Code Editor where all the HTML is.
But as said above, it will let me in "Preview" the way I described it.

If you are used to Frontpage it takes a while to get used to CC html editor. I also use Frontpage at times for certain things and other times CC html editor.
It really depends on what I am doing. For coding CC html editor is great.
Try usiing the option View and then select split screen preview in CC html editor. You will then be able to see any changes you make as on the top you will have the codes and at the bottom the actual view of your page.
I hope this helps.

Thanks. I'll do that
Wait, are you using the registered version of the HTML editor? If you are using a trial version, only the HTML view is available.......to actually get the split screen design and HTML view, you need to purchase the registered version......
I think this is what the problem is....
