I am new to html. I set up menus on the free DHTML and copied code to my page under the <body>. I get message "your browser does not support script." No menu shows up on the page when tested in browser. What do i need to do?

turn script support on in your browser, you might have it turned off...

In Firefox, this is done by going to Tools >> Options >> Content >> enable javascript.
In Opera, go to Tools >> Preferences >> Advanced >> Content >> enable javascript.

I don't know how to do this in Internet Explorer or Safari. However, I would like to know, so if someone knows, that info would be appreciated!
I work on my computer mainly for the purpose of working on my computer.

Glenn,

Upload the page to your site. Then view the test page using a couple of different browsers, such as IE6, IE7, Firefox 2, Firefox 3, etc. Once you have it working with both IE and FF, you can use browsershots.org to try lots of browsers.

I have a folder on my sites that I use for testing pages, and can see what the page actually looks like using IE and FF.

Once you have the page on the web, a link will help troubleshoot any problems you have.

I have looked at my browser IE7, and as far as I can tell the scripting is on on both the security and the advanced page. However, there are several different places referring to scripts and active x settings. Does anyone know which ones I should have on. Does Vista interfer with it? I'm still not getting the message removed.

Glenn,

I have IE7 on this computer, and it does not require any special settings to allow the DHTML menu to operate. I now wonder if it is VISTA, and maybe someone running VISTA can confirm this and offer a solution.

It seems that I have been able to get the menu to work. Do I put the code on every page or just the index page?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
