Hi R,
are you sure your settings are correct, username and password.
ftp should be website.com
username
password
www should be blank
try this if not try using passive, if still nothing are you running anti-virus or firewall, try disabling them. Let us know.

same problem. VSD + godaddy. I've checked settings. i've disabled firewall and anti-virus. I can't find the register.exe file in the main VSD folder in programs. I've spent 2 hours on the phone with go daddy tech support - they could connect with other methods , but not thru coffee cup. help - there has to be a solution!
thanks!

Rachel,

Check that you do not have a case issue. If your FTP data includes using a "public" folder, check that since public is not the same as Public. Check the same thing with your password if you use a mixed case password.

If all this does not work, open a support ticket with CoffeeCup. They do test everything and I believe they have GoDaddy hosts that they use for testing.

Go to http://www.coffeecup.com/help/ and click on the ask a question link.

I had a similar error message using Coffeecup software. It turned out that one of my webpages was named "contacts/email". I removed the "/" from the name and it solved the problem! Can't use the backslash in the name of a page.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
