Feedback on my Site - Haleycurls For...

My site is rather large and gets consistent traffic with spikes on news and around our events. For the most part, I absolutely love Coffeecup Software (I have to say Visual Site Designer rocks!) but a few things bother me.

I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time trying to make S-Drive work as a news feed for my site. I ended up using an iframe for the S-Drive window and disabling all links in the Bogart Theme. While this gives me something that works, I am pretty sure there is a better program or option for integrating a news feed into my site that keeps users on my site and offers them the ability to subscribe without being invited via email.

I’ve used Coffee Cup Photo Gallery for several slide shows on my site. There is a small slide show on my home page and other slide shows via my news/events page. I know I can edit the code to add options for the end user to click on a photo and see a full size photo or link to another page; But I am pretty sure there is another program or option out there that integrates this function into the slide show creation software.

I use Coffee Cup Web Form Builder for all of my forms. The lack of a non-flash version of forms is a big issue.

I have purchased CoffeeCup Flash Menu Builder, but ended up creating my own menus because of the limitations.

I currently have my eStore on another platform. I’m considering buying the Coffeecup ecommerce software but have not completely convinced myself it is necessary.

I would very much welcome discussion, comments, suggestions, opinions, etc. on my site.

Kim I only see three things that need attention, see the attached screenshot. It is just a matter of tidying up some details, other than that the home page looks good.

Wow. Did you cut sections out of the page in your .png file to save space? Please tell me which browser you are using as I have tested on most browswers and on iPhone, iPad and Droid and have never seen it look like that (minus your notes of course).

For me here, I don't see those issues in any browser. ;)

Same here. I tried the latest versions of the five 'main' browsers and also varied the zoom level up and down to see if I could recreate any of the strangeness from Disciple's screen shot, but the page stayed remarkably consistent for all the permutations. Like Kim, I was also wondering if Disciple had done some cutting (and even pasting ;) )...

Not even my small EEE laptop with 10.1 monitor displayed the weird things Diciple found.

I couldn't even find the page that was displayed.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Your site looks great for me too!

Thanks for all you do. I too use CC (just switched to it!) to develop my site that is dedicated to my little boy Evan. www.evanstauff.com

Evan is one of those special children whose life will positively affect many other lives. Kudos to you for promoting education and awareness! Your site is very extensive. I really like the look of your embedded videos and might try something similar in the future. One thing you might consider changing is the width of your site. Most visitors don’t mind scrolling/paging down, they pretty much expect to do that, but they do not like scrolling side to side to see everything.
