Using VSD I have created a link to a pdf file for visitors to download. I have linked to where the file lives on my computer. However, is there a place that I should put the target file. I note that within the following folder there is a place for downloads

Prescot Cables Website\Prescot Cables Index.vnu_website\files\download

Do I need to drop my file in there or will the application copy it to there

yes if you link to a document on your computer then VSD will add it to the Downloads folder in the files folder for you.
