Greg in VSD click on Object in the menu at the very top left. Now click on Arrange then Send to Back. This should expose that link that's hiding behind your image.

Obviously that covering image has to be selected as the 'object' that is to be sent to the back.

I went to the file for the home pg listed above or I opened the html editor designer CC program and openned the index pg at above computer address and opened html editing window and removed the unwanted html code from the source code and then saved it I would think that that would get rid of the unwanted code but when I open it with the visual site designer and view the pg and read the source code the unwanted code is still there
Do you have to import it or something after having altered itwith the html program?

OK thank you I was able to send the image to the back but I have a rectangle shape that I opened as a shape am using that as like a table anyway the table is behind the image I dragged the table out or down below and the link was not there I am thinking that it might even be behind the background image I could not put the background image in the back because I guess that is is the bottom layer I am beginning to think I will have to start over on this pg to just redo it completely seems to be what is going to have to be done.

Cannot use the remove files it is not operating believe you have to have a file selected and highlighted for that to work

I have been thinking all along that if it was my site, I would have started it from scratch, but I was a bit afraid that if I suggested it, that it would ruin your day or something... But it's always best to start with a clean slate.

If you use VSD and open one of the pages in some other editor and change something, the change has not happened next time you open it in VSD. That's because everything is stored in the .vnu file. All changes will have to be made within VSD for the changes to take effect.

Being a coder, I would have said take the plunge and go for the HTML Editor with one of the templates, but I know that those who are using VSD successfully would swear by it. But from my point of view, you'd have much more control with the Editor. Like this bit of code you want to get rid of, you could just have deleted it and it would have been gone forever.

Greg, try doing ctrl + a to select everything on your page. This will probably allow you to get your mouse on that stray text box link.

I feel like I am doing it from scratch after all I did delete the whole old site and completely remake it over again from scratch. I guess that I mistakenly believed that the coffee cup software would be more compatible and interchangeable with one another. I probably did put that code in with the html editor maybe I was switching back and forth and changing things things and at the least I did not do a save at the proper time when I did change from the swf file link to using bunches of individual images and many more pgs instead So now I get to do the home pg over again and know one more thing to be careful of avoiding. But the site was up for 5 years and was virtually invisible to the search engines so now it should be on the road to being a good healthy site.

OK Guys, I went to the html designer CC on the file section under recent files I had created a few and they were on my desktop they were attempts at the site home pg and were all about the same I would open them and then view them with a browser and open the source code One of them did not have the code that I am trying to rid of. So I had the file open on the desktop with the one that is missing the unwanted html code I opened the file where the saves are for the visual designer and dragged the index file out to the desktop and then copied and pasted the one from the folder that is missing the unwanted html code viewed it and checked source code and the code was missing so I opened the ftp and uploaded to the server to replace the index file

So now I have successfully rid of the unwanted code without having to redo the pg
