Using Website Access Manager & having browser compatibliy issues.

http://www.action-mechanical.com/access/login

Username - testuser
Password - 09Fortsm

On some computers using I.E. 7.0 & Firefox 3.0, I go to this URL & the login prompt appears, type in the user name & password. Then I am redirected to the page which contains a page that includes a form created with Form Builder.

Then on some computers using I.E. 7.0 & Firefox 3.0, I go to this URL & the login prompt appears, type in the user name & password & then it acts like it does not accept the password.

I have password protected the folder path - \access\login
Pages mentioned are in the folder - \login

Please advise.

Kirk,

It does not sound like a browser issue. If all computers had a problem with Firefox, then there would be a Firefox issue.

Then on some computers using I.E. 7.0 & Firefox 3.0, I go to this URL & the login prompt appears, type in the user name & password & then it acts like it does not accept the password.

Do these specific computers not work with any browser? Have you tried Google Chrome, Opera, or Safari?

Do the security settings match with a computer that works?

Is there anything the non-working computers have in common? Are they all computers at a specific location and none of the computers there work?

Are you sure the name and password are correct, including any caps?

I have tested my browser by logging into a protected site. It works. When I try your site, it rejects the login and flashes a new login screen.

Use WAM to remove the the protection by clicking on tools and down near the bottom is the remove tool.

Now check that every user indicates there is no check marks beside any name. Add a check mark to either the access folder or the login folder, and now try again. It may be that the computers that work are correcting the URL, and new computers do not have the history to use for correction.

Let us know what happens.

Ok - Bill,

I removed everything, created the user name & password & granted permission again.

All is working well now.

MUCH Thx... MUCH blessings,

Kirk
