Test email works fine but when I send...

Ok - I'm not sure what I've done so here are my steps!

I want to send an email out to my club members.

I have set up WAM. The test email works fine and ends up in my inbox - yippee.

However when I send an email to a member (me) - I don't receive it!

I select (check) my name in the User Preference list. Right mouse click. Select "send email to selected users" . Choose the template. Click "send now".

Status shows the email has been sent but I don't receive it. I've checked my junk mail / spam folder both in my email server and my outlook programme.

What have I missed? What do I need to do? Any ideas?

I've got the same Issue. Does anyone have any Idea how to make this work. What am I missing.

Can you be more detailed on what exactly you are after John? I can't follow at all what that post originally was about, no idea what sending a template is or anything which is probably why it never got answered unless it got lost on the forums.

Give us a link to the form also if you could so we can see what you're talking about, but give us a detailed explanation of what you're actually trying to accomplish please.

Thanks for the reply. This is in WAM, Website Access Manager, sending an email to selected users.

I was able to setup the SMTP settings and it effectively sent the test email.

Problem occurs when I try to send a message to a select end user. The status at the bottom states Done but the email never reaches the destination.

I've attached a pic showing where I'm at.

For that, you would need to check your mail server logs to see what error messages are being generated. A good test would be to use another platform for email testing like Gmail. I use Gmail all the time for Access Manager and it works very well.

I have copied the settings exactly from my email program to WAM and my test email says
Connecting to SMTP Server: fairwaydriverorg.ipage.com Port: 587...
Connected. Logging Into SMTP Server...
Attempting SMTP Auth Login...
UserName: steve@fairwayownersclub.com Password: ***********
SMTP Auth Login failed
SMTP Quitting.

Test Complete.

(I starred out the password)
