I have just password protected the htdocs folder of a development website (checked it worked) and then added my IP address to the exceptions so that I would not have to log in each time and Actinic also would work properly.

However it still asks me for the username etc and Actinic is unable to access the site. Downloading the htaccess and htpasswd files and examining them nothing is mentioned about my IP address. Going back to the WAM settings my IP address is definitely there and indicated as "Block access except the IP below" ie mine.

I am using WAM version 4 build 214 on Windows 7. It makes no difference which browser I use or which computer in my network so I don't think its a cache issue.

Please help as the site is going to be large and I would rather build it in situ than have to move it once built.

I would suggest opening a support ticket Paul. We will need to look at your HDB file to see how you configured your settings.
