Hi
When trying to set the e-mail in Web Access Manager I used my main internet provider / e-mail account settings, it uses smtp server like this, smtpa.netcabo.pt, I insert my username, my password, the smtp port and clicked at box "My outgoing server requires authentication" and when i test I got this message: "SMTP Message Send FAILED: 530 Authentication required".
I tryied to configure with my Gmail account settings with same result. and finally configuring with other internet provider (mobile internet) e-mail account everything works good.
I don't see any more ways to configure, it's possible my ISP block the access?
Any suggestion is welcome...
Thanks
Jimmy

It could also be a port issue. Maybe your one server use SMTP not on the standard port 25 but on some other port?

Hi Scott
I'm trying with my gmail account, it uses this configuration:

sorry it is in portuguese but I think is enough clear. I'm just trying some variations and see what happens.
Thanks
Jimmy

1st TEST
Connecting to SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com Port: 587...
Connected. Logging Into SMTP Server...
Attempting SMTP Auth Login...
UserName: jimmythehyena Password: *********
SMTP Auth Login failed
SMTP Quitting.

Test Complete.

2nd TEST
Connecting to SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com Port: 587...
Connected. Logging Into SMTP Server...
Attempting SMTP Auth Login...
UserName: jimmythehyena@gmail.com Password: *********
SMTP Auth Login failed
SMTP Quitting.

Test Complete.

With other port (465) just don´t work and in those two tests change only the username with and without @gmail.com
With my main ISP the result is the same, i think it is some issue with SSL maybe, i don´t know

I'm using another access for my e-mail settings and can wait for somebody with some idea about this

Regards
Jimmy

I just tried with my Gmail account and I had no problems here. I did need to use port 587.

Hi Scott
Any news about this? Today I tried and my isp providers failed.
Main ISP netcabo.pt error (my cable internet provider)
gmail - error
kanguru.pt - error (my mobile internet provider)

One question. It is possible the Vista is blocking the access?? I do this question because I have the AVG anti-virus and firewall and every time I made a Vista update the firewall start bugging me with new permissions.

No update as of yet, but we probably will not be able to get to into it until the mid-November update. We need to figure out on how to handle STARTTLS and the best way to tackle it.
