My domain is structured under /(root)/web/virtual/my domain. I'm hoping I can get some assistantance. I've been reading for several hours, while trying to access blow the home folder .... and no go :-(

update.... please see new attached gif of the file structure on the server I go through. I'm still unable to access the folders below my home folder.

I have just (1) folder that I want to password protect for members... thanks for any input... from anyone :-)

That is correct. If you read the text on that dialog it says "Select the folder where your Website files are stored". Once you are inside of Access Manager, that is where you select the folders/files you want to protect.

Thanks Scott. I'll go back to see what step I'm missing. I've been inside the program, setting up our names but the folder(s) I see when I check where my website fires are stored is what I get <grin>. I'll go back through the steps. ~gary

Scott, check out my attached gif. I'm wondering is a setting at the server is blocking my access to the folders under the main folder "windwardhog.com" ? I have checked in the advanced folder options and made sure the prevent directory listing is disabled (default setting). Hmmm

Looking at your screen shot, I see a lot of symbolic links. Access Manager cannot follow or see these, so that could be your issue.

You can find instructions on how to work around this here at:

Question Scott, as you can see, I'm an aging <grin> motorcycle enthusiast - - how can a little ftp program like 'core lite' or 'cute ftp' access the folders, yet Website Access Manager cannot?

I cannot access an ftp panel at the ISP that I use for our domain. I am sending them an email asking them for assistance with the link you referred me to read ..... hopefully they will help me. I want to be able to have the versitility managing password protection your program offers. Thanks again. ~gary

I have a 2001, FLSTF, so I am with ya! :)

Access Manager is not an FTP program, so it will not have all the functionality of other FTP programs. It should be a very simple fix for your hosting provider to do this for you.

Heh heh heh.... Cool! Ride with a local HOG chapter? '07 Softail Deluxe and '08 Anniversary Ultra Classic (took off the lowers) on this side. The bagger is for all day weekend rides; the softail is my towny bike for Honolulu work traffic. If you vacation in Hawaii in the future and want to ride, let me know.
