Access Manager Login and Passwords

Was playing around with the Access Manager and ran into some questions of functionality. When password protecting a particular page, you have to enter the login names and passwords of each person authorized to look at that page. Theoretically no one else can view that page.
The question arises.....if at a later date I need to password protect another page, do I need to create a new login/password file specific to that page, or can I use the previous list? What if some people on that previous list shouldn't be allowed to view that second page, how would you handle that? Or do the check marks by the login names disappear when authorizing a new page and you can put new checks by the person allowed to view that second page? Any help?
Have read the manual several times, and it seems that I may be a little dense in this area.

When setting up the permissions in WAM you'll be to select the users that have access to each page. Click on the file your protecting and then check the boxes next to the users that get access to it. WAM your done!.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
