Why do I always receive 3 duplicate...

Hi Guys!

I love this new web form builder so much! Very easy and makes such nice clean forms. Bravo and thank you. Thanks also for simplifying the steps to publish in this latest version.

I only have one question. Why do I receive 3 identical notification emails when the customer is only clicking the "submit" button once?

In settings, under "Notification Message, " I set it up to send me a copy for records and a salesperson would be CC'd for follow up. 3 identical emails are coming to me each time. I thought customers were all clicking "submit" 3 times, but I tested myself and can confirm that I only clicked "submit" once. Is there a mysterious and special setting I need to change?

Thanks! :D

Coffee Cup Form Builder forces you to save your form with the same name as your email address set up in form builder. If you rename your form to whatever your email address is before the @ sign, you will probably not get the duplicated emails anymore.

You can verify this when you test your form and get the notification from the customer and hit reply to answer the customer. In the reply email, if you have your email program set up to include the original email in the body of it, you will most likely see an email address that matches the name of your form instead of an email address that you set up in form builder.

Please reply if this is the case for you.

Hi! That is a great idea, but unfortunately I'm using 4 different forms and 1 email address, so I cant name all of the same. Or can I?

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

No because it'll override your other forms.

Daniel, you can lessen the amount of duplicates by renaming your form your email address (before the @ sign). That way you'd only get two notifications instead of three at least.

See attached example for another problem and reason also for the duplicates as well.

My aol mail includes everything but my proper email address as setup in ther form is listed not the form name. I'll check it with another email client.;)

Hi! I found the solution to my problem of receiving duplicate notification emails from every form. It turned out to have nothing to do with the Coffee Cup Web Form tool. The issue was in my old Outlook rules:

I had duplicate Outlook rules about my "request forms" set to automatically move them to a specific folder here on my local computer. Also i did not have the command "stop processing more rules" enabled in my outlook rules. Once I added that to my outlook rules the duplicates stopped. All is good.

Thanks again to Scott on the Coffee Cup team who tested my forms trying to replicate the problem. The issue was completely on my end, but always a pleasure hearing from Scott.

Thanks Coffee Cup!
