I'm totally agree with you.

A couple of months ago, I purchased a PHP-based form generator simply because my contact forms would function on iOS-based kit. It was a wrench because my forms looked nice and fitted in well... just didn't work on an iPad/Phone and that market cannot be dismissed so it is no surprise Coffeecup have gone down this route. Saying to a customer, "It don't work properly on an iPhone!" simply isn't an option.

Just tried the new version and I'll definitely use it but I'd like to see some themes that at little bit more compact, they seem to use a lot of real estate at the moment, to the extent that they cry out and say, "Gimme ma own page, I don't do embedding!"

That is great to hear Woody. You also do not have to use the embedding if you do not want to. Go to the File Menu > Export > Automated Form Processing and you will get all of the HTML/CSS. You can then do anything you like with the form.

When the full version is released, we will have a full export option that works outside of S-Drive.

Sort of off topic but I have several friends who don't have a PC or laptop any more, they've got either a smart phone or tablet, say they don't need them anymore... social networking, eBay, poker, shopping doesn't need a the full works, it's about mobility. If anything this trend will increase over the next few years as tablet prices drop so is it feasible to have a CC Form template dedicated to mobile platforms.

Since the new Form Builder is all HTML/CSS based, it will display and function perfectly on practically all devices and platforms. The only feature of a form that would not work on the tablets would be a file upload button because there is no file system on those devices.
