Hi AD!

There have been one or two threads related to PHP, submit buttons and manual uploading, so here's what I'm thinking -

You must have up to date PHP version on your sever.

Manual upload - some of us got a bit confused and did it wrong. You need to make sure you are uploading the correct files/folders. This might help (forgive me for posting this link again folks). You're probably familiar with most of it, but it might help -

Hi Phil,

Thanx for the super cool video have already checked it out & YES as far as I can tell I'm doing everything you show BUT still can not get it to work.

BTW as a coffee cup user I'm not sure why you are using an expensive & almost impossible to learn program like Dreamweaver & not one of the super CC ones??

CC is so simple to use eg CCVSD HTMLbuilder. OK the new form builder has a few curves but they will sort them out.

Thanx again ad

Hi AD,

Hopefully someone else will come in on this one with a solution. What version of PHP are you using?

Why use DreamWeaver? Well, prepare to be bored ...

It's only recently I've got back into CC, and I could kick myself for that!

As a hobbyist designer initially I used MS FrontPage. Unfortunately, the last version of this was released in 2003 and some of its functions only work properly in Internet Explorer, so I needed an alternative.

I have tried setting up as a multimedia provider/consultant (with mixed success) and use Adobe video editing software, which has proved far superior to the other software I've tried. I found the cheapest way of getting the Adobe software I needed was to buy a "bundle", which included DreamWeaver. It IS quite complictaed at times, but it is also quite powerful too, so I don't really have any complaints about it. However, one of my resolutions for 2012 is to get to grips with Visual Site Designer to see how I fare with that.

Anyway, back to your form - perhaps I could take a look at it? Would it be possible to attach the .fb file so I could try to publish the form on my test site to see if I have the same problem? That might at least reveal whether the problem lies with your setup? Might be worth a try.

I'm sure we'll find an answer somewhere between the folks on the forum!

Regards,

Phil

Had an identical problem. In my case updating hosting from PHP 4.x to 5.2 corrected the issue.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in ../xxxxxx/xxxxxx_exported/xxxxxx/fbapp/php/formpage.cls.php on line 30
