Your 16 years old.
Your parents are both drug addicts.
You get your girl friend pregnant.
You drop out of high school to work to support your new family.
This is not the kind of life that people should live but it happens. This particular 16 year old happens to work with me. He's now 21 and being trained to be my assistant grower. A major hurdle to jump over, as an assistant, is to get your pesticide applicators license. This exam is required to buy and or apply restricted use pesticides in the USA. Each state has their own laws and regulations that can be stricter. My home state of Michigan is one that is on the strict side with many requirements for applying any type of pesticides in the production of an agricultural commodity.
Upon getting the certification manuals and going through it one chapter at a time it was clear to me that my assistant needed a faster and more gratifying way to answer the chapter review questions. I thought for a while and came up with using the form builder to build an application for him to answer the questions on. With my "Hunt And Peck" typing method I was able to place all the questions in an easy to read format that when submitted gives him the number wrong and the percent score. This instant visual feed back gave him the confidence to continue his studies as he could see the scores improving each time he took it. I did have many hours in typing into the form builder and several more writing my own php script to go with each form but I would have never been able to build such a great form in the time I did without the Form Builder. My assistant ultimately pasted the state certification exam and I am very proud of him.
I just want to thank CC for such a great application that's changing the lives one form at a time.:)
